Live Music On Lansdowne Street Beside Fenway Park

Touring bands and a Sunday gospel brunch fill this two-level music hall on Lansdowne Street, steps from Fenway Park.

🎸 Inside the hall

Citizens House of Blues stands on Lansdowne Street, directly behind Fenway Park's Green Monster, on the site of the old Avalon club it replaced in 2009. It books touring rock, hip-hop, and country acts most nights of the week.

The main hall holds around 2,400 across a general-admission floor and a horseshoe balcony, keeping the crowd close to the stage while upper rows hold a clear sightline. Folk-art paintings and salvaged carvings cover the walls, and the low ceiling holds the sound tight even on sold-out nights. Upstairs, the members-only Foundation Room adds a lounge with its own bar.

On Sunday mornings the same stage turns over to a gospel brunch, with a live choir and a Southern-style meal before the evening concert schedule resumes. Kenmore Square and the Green Line sit a short walk away.
