Linnton Restoration Site
5.0 (1)park
A former lumber mill reborn as a 27-acre riverfront refuge for salmon, bald eagles, and mink along the Willamette.
Description

Completed by RestorCap in 2019 along the west bank of the lower Willamette River in Portland Harbor, the project focuses on functional habitat recovery. Work centered on creating off-channel habitat for juvenile salmonids and lamprey and securing access to cold-water Linnton Creek. Crews stripped out invasive vegetation, planted thousands of native plants, and positioned wood structures, rock piles, and snags across the grounds for local wildlife.
