Lewis MacAdams Riverfront Park (formerly Marsh Park)
4.7 (287)park
A greenway along the L.A. River pairing native marsh habitats and bioswales with shaded trails and bike path access.
Description

Set alongside the Glendale Narrows—a stretch of the riverbed with a natural soft bottom instead of concrete—the park's lowered ground filters runoff through rock, sand, and clay into the aquifer below. Over a hundred native trees shade the space, bordered by custom art fencing depicting birds returning to the restored riverfront.
The grounds pair picnic lawns with nature-themed play equipment, two outdoor classrooms, and a loop trail with 13 outdoor fitness stations looking toward the Verdugo Hills. An open-air pavilion accommodates gatherings of over 200 people, alongside direct access to the Los Angeles River Recreation Zone.
