Lettuce Bring the COOK Tour to the Bellwether
Lettuce plays the Bellwether on the COOK tour, a funk band that has kept most of the same lineup since a Berklee dorm.

🎺 Three decades of mostly the same seven people
Lettuce formed when its members were teenagers at a Berklee summer program in 1992, and most of that lineup is still onstage. The sound sits between instrumental funk and jazz — horn lines written like vocal hooks, a rhythm section that leaves space rather than filling it. COOK is the album they are touring behind, and live the arrangements stretch well past the recorded lengths without turning into open jamming.
🏟 The Bellwether, still a new room
The Bellwether opened on Boylston Street in 2024, one of the first purpose-built mid-size venues Downtown has gained in years. It holds around 1,600 with a flat general-admission floor and a wraparound mezzanine. Because it was designed rather than converted, the sightlines work from the back of the floor, and the low end does not collapse into the walls the way it does in older rooms of that size.
🚇 Getting to Boylston Street
The venue sits just west of the 110, near where Downtown meets Echo Park. There is no rail stop at the door — the closest is Westlake/MacArthur Park on the B and D lines, about a twelve-minute walk. Lot parking around Boylston fills before eight on show nights. Doors are an hour ahead of the 8:00 PM start, and the floor is standing, so arriving early is the difference between the rail and the back.
