Description

Brothers Bruce and Myles Lemons opened their first store on the South Side in 1954, built around Myles’s secret barbecue sauce. The Chatham location followed in 1968, steered by James Lemons until 2015 and now run by the family's second generation. Recognized as Chicago’s barbecue king, Lem's sticks to real no-frills barbecue, also serving chicken and shrimp, though service and wait times can vary.
