Description
Set at the entrance of the Blair Road Community Garden, the park commemorates the June 22, 2009 Metrorail collision between the Takoma and Fort Totten stations. The grounds honor not only the nine who died, but also the 80 injured and the first responders. Landscaping, hardscaping, and lighting frame the site, anchored by a memorial wall bearing an inscription written by victims' families.
