Latin American Cafe Counter For Studying In Brooklyn
Coffee, tamales, and sandwiches pair with a long writing session and a quick to go exit.
☕ Coffee And Bites
Coffee anchors the menu at Colina Cuervo, and the kitchen backs it with tamales, sandwiches, and a butter fried avocado toast that leans into the Latin American lineup. Tea and pastries handle the lighter orders, and the room is easygoing enough that people settle in with a notebook to write or study for a long stretch.
The cafe opened in Brooklyn in 2014 under the motto Mi casa tu casa, and the Nostrand Avenue room still plays the part of a neighborhood fixture. Weekend tables fill up quickly, while a to go counter keeps a quick coffee run moving.
The doors open at half past eight AM on weekdays and 9 AM on weekends, and the cafe stays open until 8 PM Tuesday through Saturday while Sunday and Monday wrap up at 4 PM. Plan a weekday evening session for the longest stretch, keep a tamale in the order, and save a pastry for the walk home.
