Description

Occupying part of a four-story, ten-bay station at Seattle Fire Department Headquarters, the museum maintains a rotating collection of historic fire apparatus alongside the smaller equipment of the trade. Preserved rigs include horse-drawn pumps and the 1834 Hunneman hand pumper 'Sacramento', alongside a 1937 Seagrave tillered aerial that returned to its original bay after 47 years. Surrounding the vehicles are vintage uniforms, badges, nozzles, and alarm boxes, accompanied by dozens of archival photographs and a continuous historical slideshow.
