Ladd Circle Park & Rose Gardens

Ladd's Addition unfolds around a central lawn and tree canopy in Southeast Portland's Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood. Tucked just off the central circle, the garden plots showcase about 60 varieties of roses, focusing on historic cultivars popular in the early 1900s. The quiet setting draws walkers, cyclists, and picnickers to wander between the rose beds and relax near the fountain. That tranquil pace breaks each spring when the circle hosts the Ladds 500, a playful bicycle relay that fills the neighborhood with hundreds of riders and spectators.
