Description
The bakery's roots trace back to 1984, when founder Thanh Lam opened a Chinatown sandwich shop and taught himself to bake crusty French baguettes after failing to find local bread matching the banh mi of his youth. Decades of steady expansion across farmers' markets and cafe outposts eventually led Lam and his sons to launch La Tour Bakehouse in 2011, incorporating artisan techniques shaped by executive pastry chef Rodney Weddle into a broader production operation.
