La Piñata Mexican Food Restaurant

Opened in 1970 by chef Peter Bugarin alongside his mother, Hope, and father, Pete, the kitchen established its claim by being the first to top the classic deep-fried burrito with sour cream, guacamole, tomatoes, onions, and cheese. Decades later, the Bugarin family continues running the house, serving Sonoran staples and margaritas in a colorful Old Mexico atmosphere.
