4.7 (3)attraction
A sacred birthing place on Oʻahu's central plateau, once reserved for royalty and tied to Hawaiian cultural astronomy.
Description

Set within a historic 36,000-acre kalana, the designated five-acre state parcel preserves the birthstones that give the monument its name. The site remains a vital piko (center) for Hawaiian moʻolelo and traditional practices, maintained and guarded since 1950 by the Hawaiian Civic Club of Wahiawā.
