🍲 Beyond The Grill

Barn Joo Union Square brings Korean tapas to 35 Union Square West, with crispy tofu on the menu and a relaxed gastropub mood. The brick walled room leans into dim amber lighting and oversized whiskey shelves. Settle in for dinner with a menu anchored by Korean BBQ and fresh cuts of beef.

Cheese corn comes with mushrooms and broccoli, while kimchi fried rice and egg and tofu soup round out the dishes. Truffle fries are another choice among the shareable plates. There are two bars here, alongside a private event space called The Grain. The kitchen also offers weekday lunch specials and grab and go options.

A daily happy hour covers food and drink deals, giving the bar side of the gastropub its own pull. Opening hours run from noon to 10 PM on Monday through Wednesday and Sunday, and from noon to 11 PM on Thursday through Saturday.
