Korean Fried Chicken And Soju Nights Near Fenway

Korean fried chicken, sizzling tteokbokki, and soju bottles anchor a loud grill and bar a block off the Fenway rush.

🍗 The soju table

SOJUba is a Korean restaurant and sports bar on Boylston Street in Boston's Fenway, where the kitchen sends out platters built for a full table. Korean fried chicken arrives lacquered and loud, next to tteokbokki in a chile-red sauce and a skillet of bubbling corn cheese.

The room fills on game nights, with screens over the bar and soju bottles working their way down long communal tables. Regulars order the way the menu wants them to, in a spread, and the fried chicken and a bottle of soju carry most of the night between refills of banchan.

The brick storefront sits a short walk from Fenway Park, which keeps the crowd steady before and after events. Steamed dumplings, japchae, and braised short rib round out an order meant to be passed around.
