Description

Set aside in 1958 on eastern Oʻahu, the grounds dedicate 60 acres of the inner slopes and basin to cultivating rare and endangered dryland species. Xeriscape concepts transform the dry environment into specialized zones suited to desert-like conditions. Following the natural, unpaved two-mile loop trail guides visitors past a massive bougainvillea collection and specialized stands of African succulents.
