Koʻolau Summit Trail Trail Head (KST)
3.7 (9)attraction
The northern gateway to Oʻahu’s rugged 56-mile ridge traverse, widely regarded as the most demanding trek in Hawaiʻi.
Description

The approach begins on Oʻahu’s North Shore by walking up Pūpūkea Road past the Boy Scout Camp before reaching the true trailhead near the back of the road. Beyond the pavement, the extremely remote route tests hikers with crumbling basalt scrambles, dense overgrowth, mud pits, and exposure to fatal drops.
