Earn a Free Junior Ranger Badge at Seattle's Gold Rush Museum

Grab a free activity booklet at the desk, follow the exhibits, and trade finished pages for a park badge.

Start at the ranger desk

🗺️ Two Floors, One Booklet

The old Cadillac Hotel at 319 2nd Ave S, on the corner of South Jackson Street, holds the Seattle unit of Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. Two floors of exhibits sit under one roof, a ranger desk inside the door.

Ask for a Junior Ranger booklet and a ranger hands over the version for your kid. Ages four to eight get the picture-led one, nine to sixteen get the one that traces the stampeders north. Work the rooms, fill the pages, bring it back, and a Junior Ranger badge goes home with you. Films screen on request outside summer, and the stop costs nothing and needs no pass.

Open Wednesday to Sunday, ten to five. Mondays and Tuesdays are dark, as are Veterans Day on November 11, Thanksgiving on November 26, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, while January 1 stays open ten to five.

Light rail stops at International District/Chinatown Station, eight minutes on foot. King Street Station, served by Amtrak and Sounder commuter rail, is a short walk away. The sister park sits in Skagway, Alaska.
