Description

Built on an underutilized city lot through a partnership between the Kenton Neighborhood Association and the City of Portland, the site was funded in part by the Portland Development Commission and Commissioner Nick Fish’s Community Gardens Initiative. On the ground, the space is organized around growing beds equipped with on-site water hoses and a shared tool shed. Actually digging in takes advance planning: members navigate roughly a two-year wait to secure an assigned plot, even if that wait moves faster than at other gardens in the area.
