Description

Spanning 1.93 acres, the site was acquired by the City of Chicago in 1924 using Water Bond Funds and later named for George D. Kells, alderman of the surrounding 28th Ward from 1931 to 1951. Its playground was updated in fall 2014 through the Chicago Plays! program.
