Kealia Trail Picnic Area

Set on the drier side of Oahu near Dillingham Airfield, the site punctuates a rocky switchback climb overlooking the coast and gliders taking off below. Hikers note there is no sweeping view from the table itself, as the best panoramas unfold along the ascent, but the overhead shade offers a welcome pause to catch your breath. For many walkers, it functions as a natural turnaround point, while others use the rest to decide whether to push higher toward Makua Ridge.
