A former naval air base turned active airfield, home to Coast Guard rescue flights and historic military hangars.
Description

Four of the airfield's structures are eligible for the National Register of Historic Places for their distinctive architecture: the Air Traffic Control Tower (Building 4), Hangars 110 and 111, and Building 115, which originally operated as a torpedo assembly and maintenance facility.
Run by the State Airports System as a reliever for Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, the grounds host a steady mix of operations, supporting the Hawaii Community College Flight Program, the Hawaii National Guard, and private aviators alongside daily air traffic control and round-the-clock alternate landing availability.
