Description

Since 2006, Kākoʻo ʻŌiwi has managed land in Kāneʻohe to restore ecological balance, expand agroecology, and generate green-sector jobs. The site operates a certified kitchen and poi mill to support its produce and traditional food processing, but the work also extends well beyond farming. Public participation shapes the project through educational visits, cultural workshops, and community workdays focused on hands-on environmental restoration and cultural education.
