Description

Founded in 1974, this venue inside Shinjuku Center Building replaces high-rise gloss with a warm, wood-finished space and relaxing background music. Its Haitian Caracolillo coffee is served with brandy on the side, designed to be paired with house-made fruit cake or slow-simmered dishes. Alongside the signature dry curry topped with a soft-boiled egg, the menu extends to pepper pot and beer, with racks of newspapers and comic books inviting visitors to settle in and stay a while.
