This family-owned, black-owned spot remains a pocket of ungentrified Harlem culture. The atmosphere is loose enough that there is no dress code—patrons drop in wearing anything from everyday clothes to wedding attire—while the sound system plays mostly Hip Hop and R&B. Beyond the themed nights, the real draw is the chance to pull up a stool and talk-shop with older locals.
