Designed by landscape architect Harold Caparn in 1932, the plaza sits directly in front of the beaux arts Administration Building. While crowds often swarm the cherry trees, this space serves as a less crowded alternative in early spring, peaking before the cherry blossoms do. The flowering timeline begins in March with white star magnolias, followed through May by ivory, yellow, pink, and purple hybrids developed by the garden.
