Description
JR De Guzman's comedy roots trace back to a music classroom, where he realized teaching meant running through Taylor Swift songs with teenagers. That mix of music and humor now fuels his stand-up. Since then, he's performed internationally, including sets in Japan, Indonesia, and Amsterdam. He won Stand-Up NBC in 2016, was named a "New Face" at Just for Laughs 2017, and landed on Variety's Ten Comics to Watch list in 2022. His quarter-hour special is on Netflix. At the Brea Improv, expect a night of musical comedy, where his signature music-infused stand-up takes center stage.
