Description

This =7=urban oasis occupies the former site of Paulina Pedroso’s boarding house, where Jose Marti once recuperated from an assassination attempt. Beyond its status as a tribute to independence heroes with statues of Marti and Antonio Maceo Grajales, the park functions as a symbolic and literal enclave. Because the land was bequeathed to Cuba, the site contains =soil collected from each of Cuba’s provinces=, offering a rare opportunity to stand on Cuban ground while remaining in the heart of Ybor City.
