Jokake Inn
attraction
Set below Camelback Mountain, this 1926 adobe landmark once hosted tea guests and later starred in 'Raising Arizona'.
Description

Conceived by artist Jessie Benton Evans and expanded by her family, the adobe home originally accommodated overnight guests alongside daytime visitors. It was named 'Jokake'—meaning mud house—by a Hopi child, and today stands on the grounds of The Phoenician as a symbol of old Southwest hospitality.
