Paintings develop from photographs of everyday city scenes, tracing layers of history across Chicago environments that change constantly or have stayed the same for decades. The work focuses on physical texture, pairing smooth matte areas with thick, rough surfaces and setting metallic paint against matte or gloss finishes. In several pieces, multiple canvas frames are attached modularly to build a single large or compact work.
