John Young Museum of Art
museum
At UH Mānoa, this museum pairs an outdoor courtyard with art spanning Asia, the Pacific Islands, and Mesoamerica.
Description

Founded from the bequest of late artist John Young, the museum opened inside Krauss Hall in 1999 to anchor campus art education. Following renovations, the 2,000-square-foot complex brings together galleries, workshops, and a small research library aligned directly with the Department of Art & Art History. Beyond its historical holdings, the space serves as an active working venue hosting Asian-Pacific artist residencies, art history exhibitions, and student-centered programming for the university and the broader community.
