Description

Originally known as the East-West Theatre before being renamed shortly after President Kennedy’s assassination, the venue operates as a professional teaching theatre where student training and public staging run in parallel. Productions unfold across two distinct spaces: a mainstage proscenium theatre and the flexible Earle Ernst Lab Theatre, hosting student works, faculty projects, and visiting productions such as English-explained Kabuki. The auditorium itself is expansive and comfortable, with famously brisk air conditioning.
