Jean Sweeney Open Space Park
4.8 (878)park
A 27-acre Alameda park pairing native habitat trails with a nature-inspired playground and a 50-foot zip line.
Description

Created in partnership between the local open space fund and Alameda's parks department, the park keeps its native habitat zones central to the layout. The play spaces integrate natural elements, setting balancing tree logs beside a sand pit, jungle gym, swings, and large slides. Further out, dedicated walking, running, and bike routes skirt the Monarch butterfly garden and link directly into the Cross Alameda Pike Trail, bordered by covered picnic gazebos for relaxed gatherings.
