Jazz and Blues, Below Broadway and Above Bleecker
Hear national and local performers at The Iridium, a club long associated with Les Paul. Advance booking and early arrival are advised, while Terra Blues closes at 3 AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
Manhattan Listening Rooms
Midtown After Dark
The Iridium occupies an intimate basement at 1650 Broadway. Live jazz, rock, and blues share the space with warm meals and photographs on the walls. The club has a long association with Les Paul and hosts national and local performers. Tables face the stage, keeping dining and the performance in the same space. The club is open daily from 7:00 PM until midnight. Book in advance and arrive early.

Upstairs Past Midnight
Above Bleecker Street, Terra Blues hosts live blues beneath an arched ceiling. This Greenwich Village saloon has operated since 1990, presenting New York musicians alongside artists from abroad. The venue closes at 3:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. On other nights, closing time is 2:00 AM. Whiskey bottles line shelves behind the curved wooden counter. The small stage faces a seated audience under red performance lighting.

Two Takes on Manhattan Listening
The Iridium and Terra Blues share a commitment to live music, but their programs give the pairing its contrast. At The Iridium, jazz, rock, and blues sit alongside warm meals and a longstanding association with Les Paul. Terra Blues keeps blues at the center, presenting New York musicians and artists from abroad in a Greenwich Village saloon. The distinction is musical breadth versus a blues focus, with a basement setting at the first venue and an upstairs room at the second.
