Sip Walk Softly or Sea Flower alongside truffle milk toast at Kumiko in the West Loop.

Explore Kumiko over drinks.

🥃 A Counter Below Street Level

Kumiko brings a Japanese dining bar and cocktail lounge together at 630 W Lake St in the West Loop. The main dining room and bar share an intimate setting, with a separate drinking experience below street level. Downstairs, a Japanese whisky and shōchū counter has just ten seats, a smaller setting within the venue.

Start with cocktails such as Walk Softly or Sea Flower, then turn to truffle milk toast, chicken karaage, and potato salad from the food menu. Seasonal tasting menus offer another way to explore the Japanese dining side, alongside the drinks. Dining is for ages 18 and over, a policy to check before bringing a younger group.

The dining room and bar open Wednesday through Sunday from 5 PM to midnight, Café Kumiko serves Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 3 PM, and Monday and Tuesday are closed.
