Japanese American Bar With Inventive Drinks and Izakaya Snacks
Order Japanese American snacks beside inventive drinks in a bi-level Greenwich Village bar with a lively late night pulse.
🍸 The Village Pour
Katana Kitten sits at the crossroads of a cocktail bar and an izakaya, spread over two levels on Hudson Street in Greenwich Village. Owner Masahiro Urushido built the drinks list around Japanese American ideas, with the Matcha Grasshopper and the Melon Highball among the house favorites.
The snacks keep a second round grounded, with popcorn chicken and fries on the Japanese American side of the menu. The decor is distinctive and the energy runs lively, which makes it a strong pick for happy hour or a late night meetup with a group. Tables suit a longer hang, and the bar works for a single drink before dinner.
Weekdays the doors open at 4 PM, and Monday through Saturday it pours until 2 AM. Saturday and Sunday start earlier at 2 PM, and Sunday wraps at midnight. Start with the Matcha Grasshopper, add popcorn chicken, and let the night decide the rest.
