James Marx All Veterans Park

Set along the south bank of Holmes Run across from Brookvalley Park, this green corridor connects to the opposite shore via the Charles Beatley Bridge, dedicated in honor of Alexandria's former mayor. An observation deck on the bank is positioned to view the Bi-Centennial Tree across the water, while paths trace the stream's edge. Renamed by City Council in 1994 for James H. Marx and adopted by Alexandria Firefighters Inc., the grounds maintain a quiet, respectful presence along the water.
