4.0 (253)park
A quiet Little Tokyo retreat of cascading waterfalls, stone lanterns, and streams tucked away in downtown Los Angeles.
Description

Known as Seiryu-en, or "Garden of the Clear Stream," the 1.5-acre site at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center was designed and later redesigned by landscape architect Dr. Takeo Uesugi. Completed in 1980 to mark the centennial celebration of Japanese in the States, the grounds weave traditional Japanese landscaping together with over 100 species of plants.
