Surrounded by a mix of paved and unpaved pathways, the water’s edge draws joggers, dog walkers, and recreational fishermen. Frederick Law Olmsted integrated the freshwater kettle pond into his Emerald Necklace park system, keeping the perimeter focused on open water views and neighborhood recreation. Beyond casual shoreline strolls, the pond supports community events and youth sailing programs, alongside seasonal rentals spanning rowboats, kayaks, and sailboats.
