J.J. McWilliams Old Rock School Park

Long before the public library relocated here in 1999, this parcel hosted Smyrna Youth Football. Developed through a partnership between the town and Rutherford County, the grounds sit adjacent to the Smyrna Senior Citizens Center, anchored by community gathering space at the Patricia Flemming shelter. Renamed in 2007 to honor influential Smyrna High School principal J.J. “Mr. Mac” McWilliams, the park ties decades of local civic history to everyday neighborhood recreation.
