Inside Jerome's Old High School, Then Out to the Cemetery
A two-hour ghost hunt in old copper-mining Jerome: a walk through town, then a drive to the former high school and the cemetery.
Pandora's Box is the two-hour ghost tour from Jerome Ghost Tours, the Clark Street shop that also runs a one-hour Ghost Walk. Everyone gets an EMF reader and each group gets a spirit box. The first part is on foot through town, and travelers in 2025 and 2026 describe a van ride after that.

The booking below is the two-hour Pandora's Box. On the listing, children aged two to four go free, everyone from five up pays the same price, and each booking needs an adult. One booking takes up to twelve travelers. Cancel at least 24 hours before the start for a full refund.
Pandora's Box Ghost AdventureA two-hour guided ghost hunt in Jerome with EMF readers for everyone and a spirit box for each group, starting from the operator's shop on Clark Street.www.viator.comChurch, Hospital Lot and Smelter, Then the Van

On the operator's homepage, Pandora's Box passes Holy Family Church, the grounds of Jerome's first hospital and the United Verde Copper Company smelter. Under the heading Exclusive Locations, the operator lists the Haskins House, the Old Jerome High School auditorium and boiler room, and the Jerome Cemetery, the same three the listing names. Travelers who went in 2025 and 2026 describe the walk through town, a van ride, and the old high school and the cemetery as the last two stops.
The old high school is now the Jerome Art Center, and the center's own site says local artists, musicians, shops and galleries fill its four buildings. The cemetery sits in neighboring Clarkdale, and the Town of Clarkdale's cemetery page says the Town of Jerome owns and operates it.
One traveler in June 2026 wrote that the group saw the hospital lot, the school auditorium and the cemetery, and did not go into the Haskins House. The operator says that house became the Haskins Apartments, and Town of Jerome design review records from December 2025 describe the Haskins Apartment Building at 414 Clark Street as recently renovated and due to become part of the Haunted Hamburger's new layout. Treat that indoor stop as the guide's call on the day. The operator's separate Pandora's Box page lists a different set, the Haskins House, the Sliding Jail and a building it calls Jerome's third hospital. None of the 2025 or 2026 reviews of this tour mention the jail.
Meters in Hand, Answers Not Guaranteed

Before setting off, the guide shows the group how the gear works. The listing gives an EMF reader to everyone and a spirit box to each group, and names add-ons: an SLS camera, a thermal image reader, a laser grid and EMF cubes. The operator's page prices the add-ons separately, in limited numbers and first come, first served. Travelers on night departures mention a lantern or lamp to light the way.
Whether anything answers is a matter of luck. One couple in September 2026 heard a few voices on the spirit box, and another traveler in October 2026 found the spirits quiet and the history the highlight. One traveler in 2025 heard mostly garbled noise and a few notes that sounded like a local radio station, and said their grandson left a believer. In June 2026, one traveler felt the group was too big to hear much over everyone else.
Seven Start Times, and the Night of October 31
The listing runs departures at 9 and 11 a.m. and at 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 p.m. As of October 24, 2026, Halloween itself showed every slot open except 7 p.m., which was sold out. Several travelers recommend an evening start, saying the dark adds to it, and one singled out the 9 p.m. departure.
The operator says its tours run in rain and snow, that it has complimentary umbrellas for the walking tours, and that it will contact you if severe weather forces a cancellation. One traveler in April 2025 advised dressing for the weather and planning for the wind to make it feel colder.
Hills, Stairs, a High Van Step, and Who It Suits
Expect hills, stairs and uneven ground on the walking part. One traveler in 2025 described rocky, bumpy ground and lots of dark stairs, and another in November 2025 found the van's step about two feet high with no stool to help. The listing marks the tour as suitable for all fitness levels, and in the same notes says it is not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. It also notes that service animals are allowed and public transport is nearby. The operator's site says nothing about wheelchair access.
The operator's booking page says all ages are welcome. Parents in October 2026 brought children aged 10, 11 and 14, and one said the youngest was pretty scared but stayed for the whole tour. The listing promises tales of murder, lust and revenge, so parents of younger kids may want to tell them what is coming.
📍 Meet at Jerome Ghost Tours, unit B-7 of the historic UVX building at 403 Clark St. The listing places it on Clark Street between Haunted Hamburger and the fire station, just above the park.
The Town of Jerome charges five dollars for all-day parking in its four pay-to-park areas, paid by credit card at a kiosk. The town charges only between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., which leaves those lots free for an evening start. Cars with a disabled placard park free, and the large 300 Level lot on Perkinsville Road is free, with a free town shuttle on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Then pick up a meter and see who, if anyone, answers at the old school.
