🔥 Tandoor Glass and Art Deco

This Indian restaurant in Tribeca puts the kitchen on display. At Tamarind Tribeca, tandoor chefs work behind glass at 99 Hudson Street, and the menu draws on regional Indian dishes from chefs representing traditions across the country. The restaurant traces its lineage to an earlier Michelin-starred Flatiron location.

Look up between courses. High ceilings, silhouette curtains and an expansive bar fill the art deco room, with a mezzanine set aside for private events. Service runs down to the tabletop, with initial metal plates swapped for fresh china as the meal unfolds. Prices are upscale, a fit for a client lunch or a special occasion, and reservations are advised.

Lunch runs every day from half past eleven to 3 PM, and dinner starts at half past five, running until half past eleven Sunday through Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Indoor tables are for guests aged 10 and older, while the outdoor dining area has no age limit.
