Translating to “Lilli’s garden,” the cafe takes its inspiration from the founder’s late grandmother, Lilliana Carani, recalling memories of her kitchen and garden in Italy. The bakery is helmed by Roman pastry chef Daniele, who turns out house-baked desserts and pastries to bring a touch of Italy to San Diego.
