Hypnotized Volunteers Steal the Show at Myrtle Beach's Wonders Theatre

Volunteers from the audience go under and become the cast of a late-night comedy hour. Watching from your seat is an option too.

Catch the hypnosis show at Wonders Theatre.

The Wonders Theatre at Broadway at the Beach has been home to this comedy hypnosis show since 2021. A hypnotist asks for volunteers, a row of chairs fills up on stage, and the people in those chairs become the night's material.

You can be one of them or stay in your seat. The operator says plainly that volunteering is optional. The ticket also covers a meet and greet with photos after the show.

Booking stays open right up to curtain, and confirmation is instant. One ticket covers the whole booking, shown on your phone.

Whose name is on the ticket, and who is on stage

Steve Falcon built this show in Myrtle Beach, and the listing still carries his name. His show at MGM Grand in Las Vegas opened on June 18, 2026, with no closing date announced. The operator's own site says guest hypnotists headline here in his place.

Since June 30 the stage has passed between visiting hypnotists, Brenda Kaye, Sailesh and David Anthony among them. Richard Barker is billed from August 25 through November 3. The operator's lineup stops at that date and names nobody for the nights after it.

The listing's 4.8 average across 184 reviews is one score for the show as a whole, with no split by hypnotist.

Where you sit, and the stairs to the balcony

Seats are reserved. The box office sells the floor in three bands: the first two rows, rows C to E, and rows F and G. A balcony sits above, reached only by a staircase.

The theatre describes itself as wheelchair accessible. On the box office seat map, the two wheelchair spaces sit at either end of the front row, each with a companion seat beside it. For other seating needs, the theatre asks guests to call ahead on (843) 286-5003.

Beer and wine are sold inside, along with snacks, soft drinks and show merchandise, all paid for separately. The listing adds one exception: no alcohol sales on Sundays.

How the hour actually runs

The show starts at 9:15 PM. The listing calls it 75 minutes. The box office calendar blocks most nights from 9:15 to 10:40 PM, and 10:40 is the safer time to plan the rest of the evening around.

The material is pitched at adults. The theatre bills it as adults-only and tells guests to leave the kids at the hotel.

Anyone under 18 should call the box office on (843) 286-5003 before booking. The listing and the box office both mention exceptions to the 18-and-over rule, and neither says what they are.

Which nights it plays, and the refund line

The show does not run every night. The box office calendar for October 2026 holds nine dates, mostly Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. November has six, and the calendar currently runs out to January 3, 2027.

  • Full refund when you cancel at least 24 hours before the 9:15 PM start
  • No refund inside those 24 hours
  • The operator can call off a night for bad weather or too few bookings
