Hyde Farm Park
4.8 (119)park
An 1830s log cabin anchors this 135-acre riverfront farm, framed by original outbuildings, fields, and quiet woods.
Description

Established in the 1830s by James Cooper Power on the northwest bank of the Chattahoochee River, the property was farmed across generations by the Hyde family using traditional methods. The original cabin sits preserved directly within the farmhouse, joined by traditional farming exhibits and nine historical outbuildings including a barn, corncrib, machine shop, and chicken houses. Jointly managed by Cobb County Parks and Recreation and the National Park Service, the wider grounds encompass protected forests, streams, and wildlife habitats.
