Description

Beyond the shoreline, the park encompasses salt marsh and freshwater lagoon habitats home to alligators, sea turtles, deer, and diverse birdlife. Routes such as the easy Sandpiper Pond trail offer wildlife watching alongside an onsite nature center. The grounds also host Atalaya, built as the Moorish-style winter home and sculpture studio of Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington and open for tours. Coastal campgrounds provide a base for exploring the area, which visitors often navigate by e-bike.
