Description

Opened by the Silvagni family to serve Hoover Dam workers, the property stood out early by becoming the first in Las Vegas to feature an air-conditioned lobby and an electric elevator. It later passed to Benny Binion, drawing names like Clark Gable, Humphrey Bogart, and Lucille Ball. Today, it anchors a prime Fremont Street setting, where visitors appreciate the historic atmosphere even as opinions on the vintage vary.
