Description

Decommissioned in 1964, the 8.4-acre property transitioned into public parkland, earning the nickname “Choo-Choo Park” from a nearby railroad museum that no longer exists. The grounds balance meadows and fields for active recreation with remote areas for quiet contemplation. Two distinct paved pathways guide visitors through the space: one winds through a wooded natural area, while another wraps around the City of Seattle reservoir, linking open picnic spots with a playground climbing structure.
