Description

While Quaker worship in Hawaiʻi dates to 1836, this congregation formally organized in 1937, shaped by the Beanite Quaker tradition of peace, civil liberty, and religious freedom. Purchased in 1957, the quarter-acre property houses the Meeting's library and opens its doors to local community groups for spirit-led work. Long positioned as a Pacific crossroads, the house maintains a stated mission of hospitality for traveling Friends journeying to and from Asia, supported on-site by a resident couple serving two-year terms.
