Hollywood's Dead Movie Stars, Told One Bar at a Time
A walking crawl down Hollywood Boulevard where a guide tells old movie-star ghost stories between rounds you buy yourself.
Two hours, three or four bars and one stretch of Hollywood Boulevard. The guide's material is the studio era: stars who drank on this street, how some of them died, and the sightings the operator says guests and staff have reported since.
Two of the low ratings, from 2024 and 2025, came from travelers who wanted more scares than the history they got. Locals book it as well as visitors, including one reviewer who had lived in Los Angeles for over a decade without trying anything like it.

The ticket covers the guide plus all fees and taxes, and the per-person price on the booking page changes with the date. Drinks, food and tips are extra.

The operator's own tour page names the cast. At the Hollywood Roosevelt it points to Marilyn Monroe, said to haunt her former suite, number 1200, and to Humphrey Bogart around the Tropicana bar. At Musso & Frank it lists Charlie Chaplin and Rudolph Valentino among the ghosts guests and staff have reported, and promises a story tied to Sharon Tate.
Travelers from 2022 through 2024 describe a trivia quiz between stops, and one won a prize. The operator rents EMF detectors on its tours, and a 2024 traveler who rented one says it reacted at one of the bars.
Which Bars Depends on the Night

The booking page lists a first drink at the Tropicana Bar inside the Hollywood Roosevelt and another stop at Musso & Frank. The operator's own booking notes name four other bars. The exact lineup depends on the day of the week and the season, the operator says, and if a location is unavailable it will try to find an alternate.
Two stops on the listing are walk-bys with no drink: the TCL Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood Pacific Theatre building near Wilcox Avenue. Drinks stay in the bar where you bought them.
Twenty-One, ID and No Tank Tops
Everyone is 21 or over and carries ID. Leave the shorts and tank tops for another night; one of the bars on the route has a dress code. The operator's booking notes say guests who arrive intoxicated are refused service and pets stay home, while the listing allows service animals. Smoking is not allowed on the tour.
One booking holds up to twenty people, and the operator's system caps a departure at twenty. The listing says it does not cancel for low numbers, and travelers have described nights with just two guests on the walk.
- Fitness: the listing asks for a moderate level and flags the walk for anyone with heart trouble.
- Wheelchairs: the listing ticks wheelchair access in the same block that offers stroller access on an adults-only crawl. The operator's FAQ says not all of its tours are wheelchair accessible and asks guests to confirm with it first.
What the Night Costs Beyond the Ticket
Each round is paid at that bar's prices, and a 2025 traveler found happy-hour prices at some of the stops. Food is not included; the operator says there may be chances to order at a stop and suggests bringing water and a snack. Tips are on top, and the operator asks guests to bring cash or Cash App for the guide.
The listing refunds in full for cancellations at least 24 hours before the start, and nothing after that. The operator runs the crawl rain or shine and says it will contact guests if it has to call a night off.
📍 Meet outside the Foot Locker on the Hollywood and Highland corner of the Ovation Hollywood complex, 6801 Hollywood Boulevard. The guide wears a US Ghost Adventures T-shirt and carries a lantern. Arrive 15 minutes early.
The operator's own tour page still gives the Hollywood Roosevelt, a block west at Orange Drive, as the meeting point. The booking page and the operator's booking system both say the Foot Locker corner, and your voucher has the final word. As of October 20, 2026, the booking calendar lists 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM starts.
From there it is two hours of old Hollywood stories, a few rounds and the boulevard in the evening.
