Hocus Pocus on Independence Mall Opens a Free Halloween Weekend
One brick visitor center anchors a witchy Friday screening and a Sunday candy trail through the city's oldest blocks.
🎃 One Hub, Two Halloween Days
Halloween arrives in Philly's Historic District this weekend, and both free events start at the Independence Visitor Center.
On Friday, October 16, Movies on the Mall closes its season with the 1993 Halloween favorite Hocus Pocus at 7:00 PM, on a screen just outside the center. Pre-show activities begin at 5:30 PM, and advance registration is encouraged.
On Sunday, October 18, from 11 AM to 3 PM, kids collect treat bags and maps to dozens of trick-or-treat stops at the information desk, plus a craft and story time with an Edgar Allan Poe impersonator.
The insider move is a costume. Costumed trick-or-treaters ride the Philly PHLASH free.
